Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
a new dilema: to get my mind of fuckheads.
anyone who reads this, i would love an opinion:

so my life was all organised for the next year, half a year in brisbane and half in melbourne working for a company. i already signed all the paperwork. it was all sorted.
then a call on friday from another company in london. "we want you!" in a more interesting department (part of the reason i turned down the job.) it's in london, and is a fantastic oppertunity. so is the one i'm already doing but i have a feeling this other one might benefit me a bit more in the long run. i don't feel so comfortable screwing over the first company... but what if i decide that i would be better off in london? arrrrgh i fucking hate decisions. any thoughts/advice would be appreciated muchly.

for me this year is about chances, adventures and taking every opportunity. both are amazing but london would be a massively big adventure. it is up to you but you are a lucky girl

so, completely came across thsi entry under the "Random" section in MyLJ:

I think your heart knows what it wants, and it's worthless to worry about anything else. Graciously decline the original company's offer, and head straight off to London if that's what seems right to you- if you'll be happiest doing that. No one, and nothing else, matters.

Best of Luck!

Hey Stella, this is Corey (aka Coreth). I got your LJ off of your MySpace. Hope you don't mind. Thought I'd throw in a little input.

At this point in your life, what a lot of people don't take into consideration is what will benefit them in the long run. many people "live for the now" and don't consider the grand scheme of things. I can't tell you which one specifically would be better for you, or do you more good in the long run. But the fact that you are even keeping the future in mind, I think is very good, and will help you make your decision (if you haven't made it already).

P.S. My journal is on a friend's only format because I don't want my parents reading up on me. But I'll add you as a friend you you have an all-access pass to the life of Corey! Just as a disclaimer, though. I tend to be a whiny bitch sometimes.

hi corey... weird to call you that. anyway, i did make the decision and i'm going to london. i'm going to be a chemist for tetley tea! hehehe.
anyway, my journal has recently become more friends only because i've been writing about people that i don't want reading it. anyway. i also tend to bitch around on lj, and myspace for that matter, so mehmeh.

ps, is your picture really really old??

Haha yeah, it's from when I was 15, I think.

Going to London, eh? That's awesome. My older bro and his girlfriend studied abroad there for a semester a couple years ago. And actually, they are both going back there for another year sometime soon to get their Master's degrees.

mm i think it's the right choice for now and for my future. i just got my ticket so i'm really just waiting around to leave. it's starting to become more exciting than terrifying, which is a step in the right direction... hahaha.
i get to fly home via los angeles too, so i'll get to do a lot of travelling. get it out of the way before i have to put my head down and finish uni and get my honours and get my phd. wow. so a break is clearly needed!

Oh, and if it feels weird calling me Corey, you can still call me Coreth if you want to. I'm cool with both.
