[03 Nov 2009|09:21pm] aiko273 Halloween was great fun, we spent a straight 10 hours dancing and started falling asleep at 6am. Mark was DJing two nights, which luckily happened to be a few minutes walk apart; beginning at Stranger than Paradise, then to Torture Garden and then back to Stranger Than Paradise. It was my first time at TG, and I was pretty impressed (mainly with the effort put into the different rooms) although it was way too crowded for my liking, so we spent most of the time in the "Silent Horror Cabaret" room. Perhaps it was the layout of the room (round tables like a formal dinner), but the people in there lacked any kind of emotion at all, even Joe Black's minstrel comedy performance received no laughs. It was like it went straight over their heads, or that they were too fetishy/goth to crack a smile. At first Mark was being careful with what he played, putting in a few odd things here and there, but after getting no reaction either way I think he just gave up and played things to amuse ourselves. I have to say that the atmosphere at Stranger Than Paradise was a lot better, probably because "normal" people allow themselves to have more fun (plus Mark didn't have to worry too much about what he played). Amanda, who runs the night, had an adorable little puppy that kept chewing on leaves, an ipod charger, cups, sweets and more specifically MY HANDS. I suppose we probably missed the best/most eventful part of the night whilst at TG, because when we came back at 4am the place was trashed. We both started falling asleep at around 5.30, and only really got to bed at around 6.30/7am; it was evident that I wouldn't be getting up to go to the Day of the Dead event at the British Museum. I'm going to shoot him in this outfit, because you can't tell how awesome it is here 16 million year trip

[29 Oct 2009|12:00am] aiko273 [ music | Shantel - Disko Partizani | Powered by Last.fm ] Well, on Sunday I modelled in the L'Oreal hair show for Clipso and we came runners up! It was actually quite fun; hopefully getting some photos from that soon. Here is a test for my halloween outfit (although I forgot my mardi gras beads which have eyeballs on them - might string them around my waist). I'm not sure how to improve the makeup, apart from taking more time on it. ( Voodoo Chile ) 73 million year trip
